-- calendar of events news pages most recent story published -- club events galleries member galleries welcome to the official website of the open university camera club - an affiliated ou club. the club committee : chairman: bryan waddington , (01908 8)58139 secretary: kulvir bahra (01908 8)58631 treasurer: natalie egglestone (01908 3)32005 if you would like to get in touch, you can use our contact form . meetings are generally held every other week on the mk campus at lunchtime - the programme of events is published in the calendar and reminders sent out to the club mailing list (contact the chairman if you would like your name added). the annual membership fee is £5.00 for current staff and students and £10.00 p/a for all others - membership forms are available in word or pdf format. members can attend club meetings for free whereas non-members are required to pay £1.00; you also have to be a member in order to hire any of the club's equipment. some facilities are available to members: two studio flash lighting systems, a 4-head halogen still/video lighting kit, backgrounds, reflectors, tripod, etc. meetings are normally held every other tuesday - the venue will be confirmed on an event-by-event basis. please see the news pages for lists and replays of events and meetings. details of forthcoming events are always posted to the club email list - contact the chairman if you would like to be included. members of the club are experienced in both traditional film and digital photography. we welcome new members of any ability and look forward to suggestions for future meetings. we may also provide a program of outdoor talks and demonstrations if this is requested. members have interests in a wide range of subjects from adventure sports to natural history and we may be able to suggest places to go or events that provide good photographic opportunities: see the photos from recent events . club members can also promote their own work through this list of member galleries . many club members are well travelled and have extensive collections of photos of an enormous variety of subjects. the club can therefore be a useful source for images, often able to undercut expensive photo libraries. if you would like to make a request for images of a particular subject, please use the contact form . most years we also host a photographic competition and/or exhibition. for autumn 2014 we are now requesting entries for a another library exhibition and again the entries are entirely open. please click to download the information sheet (pdf) and entry form (pdf). galleries of the winners from previous competitions: 2008 competition 2006/07 competition 2005/06 competition in between competitions, we run challenges on our flickr group - click for details (pdf). www. flick r .com more in ou camera club pool these pages are the personal responsibility of 's committee and its members. the views expressed here do not necessarily represent the views of the open university. the university takes no responsibility for any material on these pages.
